Two Full-Time Faculty Positions

Director of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery and Gynecology Surgical Specialties

The Director will be responsible for overall day-to-day leadership, direction, operation, and management of the division. This recruit will be Co-Director of the Women’s Pelvic Health Center and will be identifying and leading initiatives that will expand the FPMRS division while working with the Department of Urology to create a FPMRS fellowship.


Preferred experience:

  • Board Certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery required
  • Academic credentials appropriate for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or higher
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership, educational and clinical achievements, preferably in academic medicine
  • Experience in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Techniques for the Treatment of Pelvic Organ Prolapse
  • A record of scholarly accomplishments is desirable and national recognition as evidenced by involvement in academic societies at a national level

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist

Seeking an MFM specialist to join our growing division. The division of MFM has an ACGME accredited MFM fellowship. This is a dynamic department with a large clinical volume, modern Women and Infant’s Hospital facilities, and an AIUM accredited state-of-the-art ultrasound unit. Candidates must be board eligible/certified Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

About Us

Stony Brook Medicine is the academic medical center for Suffolk County Long Island (1.5M people). The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine is committed to a multidisciplinary team approach to women’s healthcare, clinical education and research. The department comprises 52 full-time faculty, 115 volunteer faculty and 6 distinct divisions including a Division of Midwifery with 14 midwives in practice. Comprehensive clinical services include; total deliveries 4,000; 2,900+ gynecologic surgeries and 70,000 clinic visits. The Obstetrics/Gynecology residency training program is university based. The residency is a fully accredited four-year program accepting 5 residents per year, for a total of 20 residents. Fellowships are in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery.
