Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions is offering a unique opportunity for an experienced RN to work in the Cath lab and act as an administrative supervisor.  This position will be overseeing other nurses, medical assistants and radiology techs. This is a long term position that will provide on the job training as well as attend educational conferences.  The individual in this role will be given the opportunity to hire additional staff during the practice’s growth and focus on preferred skills over time.  
The physicians at MISS specialize in IR, NIR, and Vascular Surgery. MISS is an OBL (office-based lab) as well as a multispecialty clinic.  As MISS grows, the practice will be adding an ambulatory surgery center as well as a comprehensive imaging center.  This position will be influencing the growth of the practice and partaking in the hiring of additional staff for sterilization, imaging, surgical scrub technicians and MA’s. 
  • The RN is responsible for providing individualized, age-appropriate, safe and quality patient care during pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure phases.
  • The RN serves as a resource and collaborates with other members of the team by utilizing the nursing process to promote optimum patient care outcomes.
  • In addition, this position offers significant opportunities in research and other IRB based protocols.
  • Accountable for daily clinical operations.
  • Care for preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative patients, well versed in assessment, pain management, sedation and related complications.
  • Administers sedation and analgesia, monitors patient as appropriate.
  • Handles regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, unit efficiencies and quality improvement.
  • Maintains nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Completes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff, following up on work results.
  • Provides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by monitoring confidential information processing.
  • Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and clinic records.
  • Maintains nursing supplies inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among the health care team by communicating information, responding to requests and building rapport.


  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
  • Ability to wear lead apron required in Interventional Radiology.
  • Three or more years of experience as an IR-Cath Lab RN.
  • Moderate Sedation competency required in Interventional Radiology.
  • Current  ACLS/BCLS and NIHSS.
