SCHEDULE: Full-time

St. David's Surgical Hospital, a campus of St. Davids North Austin Medical Center, is a destination surgical hospital specializing in orthopedic, neurological, bariatric, gynecological and urological surgery, among others. Located in North Austin, the facility includes a 146,381-square-foot hospital with 40 inpatient rooms, 10 operating room suites, 11 pre-op bays, 19 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) bays, a six-bed intensive care unit (ICU), imaging, pharmacy and lab services.

Position Description

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers highquality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in theunit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with othermembers of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluatesnursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as aresource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organizationsvision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience andclinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Exercises judgement and provides direction regarding patient care assignments using established policies/procedures.
  • Operationalizes evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.

Qualifications

License/Certification
Required:
Current licensure in Texas as a RN
Certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Med-surg nursing experience


1+ years experience in healthcare Preferred



Education/Experience
Preferred:


Associate Degree in Nursing Required


Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred



Previous experience in clinical nursing
Computer skills
