Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier healthcare institutions, is conducting a national search for a Director of the Spine Center. The Spine Center of Excellence at Cedars-Sinai is co-managed by the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Departments of Neurosurgery. The Spine Center is internationally recognized as a leader in diagnosing and treating the entire spectrum of conditions of the spinal column, spinal cord, nerve disorders and spinal trauma. Our multidisciplinary team is highly skilled at treating painful and debilitating, complex conditions. Nationally recognized, our neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons and medical spine specialists offer advanced treatment and advanced alternatives to surgery. We are proud to be Southern California’s No. 1 Spine program and one of the busiest spine programs in the country. This is an exceptional opportunity for an orthopaedic surgeon or neurosurgeon interested in an academic leadership position with excellent research and teaching. Cedars-Sinai is Ranked #7 on the 2020 US News and World Report Hospital Honor Roll, and #3 for Orthopaedic Surgery and #10 for Neurosurgery.

We are seeking a clinically active candidate with a demonstrated commitment to research, education, and clinical care. The candidate should have demonstrated experience as a collaborative academic leader who is able to work well with internal and external colleagues. The new spine leader will oversee an established Spinal Surgery Fellowship Program 

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Medical Degree or Medical Degree/PhD is required.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for California State medical licensure and be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery or Neurosurgery.
