The Department of Pathology, Anatomical at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is recruiting a Pathologist of open rank with strong diagnostic expertise and research ability to join the Section of GYN Pathology.  Cytopathology training will be considered an asset.


Candidates will be expected to participate in the routine sign out activities of a primarily oncologic array of specimens. For this clinical, term tenure track position, the candidate’s primary research responsibility will be to conduct collaborative, innovative research. Demonstrated ability to compete for extramural funding and a track record of successful independent research, including the supervision of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and other trainees will be required depending on the requested rank. Rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Excellent benefits package.


Education and Experience


  • Medical degree required.
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and an active Texas medical license or eligibility is required.
  • For Assistant Professor, at least 2 years’ experience as Instructor or 5 years post degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist, or GME trainee. For Associate Professor, 5 years’ experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent or 10 years post clinical degree.
