Open Rank (Associate or Full Professor) – Cognitive Neurology

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking a Cognitive Neurologist to join our Center for Memory and Aging (CMA) team in an Open Rank, Open Track position. The CMA has Leadership opportunities in two NIH consortium grants: the MarkVCID and in our newly awarded P20 New Mexico Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) exist for outstanding candidates with strong academic and research achievements. Candidates are invited to apply at Associate or Full Professor level. We are the only center devoted to Alzheimer’s and dementia research in New Mexico/Mountain West.

The Position:

• Work with a team in UNM-CMA.
• Be involved in all aspects of dementia science:
• Work in fully equipped research facility with state-of-the-art imaging, laboratory equipment and clinical research space.
• Excellent compensation and generous start-up package are available to support the successful candidate.

Minimum requirements:

• MD/DO degree or equivalent
• Experience/training in neurological disease in older adults, especially dementia/ADRD
• eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico
• eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Requirements:

• Expertise in ADRC-focused science
• Track record of sustained peer-reviewed funding from NIH and/or pharmaceutical studies in ADRD
• Experience in an academic setting
