The College of Optometry at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis announces an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive academic community. Desired areas of emphasis include but are not limited to public or population health and community service, contact lenses and anterior segment, ocular disease and emerging approaches to imaging including leadership for the electrodiagnostic and imaging service. The University offers a competitive salary and benefits. Initial rank will be commensurate with prior experience, qualifications and individual interests.

Responsibilities - Successful candidates will lead a program of funded research and mentor optometry scholars consistent with our institutional commitment to pursue interdisciplinary research and collaboration with campus colleagues and community partners. In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to provide high quality optometric education for professional degree seeking students.


Qualifications - The position requires an earned doctorate along with training and/or experience necessary to establish an active research program. Applicants holding a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree, with graduate training or an ACOE-accredited residency, and license to practice optometry are preferred.
