Director for Interventional Pain Medicine Center (Anesthesiologist)

The University of Vermont Health Network Medical Group and the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine to serve as Director of the Center for Interventional Pain Medicine. The ideal candidate would have experience in administering the delivery of efficient high quality care in an out-patient pain clinic and its satellite locations, in educating fellows, residents and medical students in pain management, and in generating related scholarly activity. The Center for Interventional Pain Medicine also hosts two pain medicine fellows. The Director is expected to support the academic and professional growth of these individuals. This will be a full-time clinical scholar pathway faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level.  

 

The Center for Interventional Pain Medicine sees a diverse patient population and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including four modern fluoroscopy suites and ultrasound equipment readily available for patients needing advanced interventional procedures. There is departmental support available for the development of scholarly activity.

 

Located in Burlington, The Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center serve as Vermont’s only academic medical center, and provides tertiary care to patients from Vermont and northern New York.
