SCHEDULE: 1.0 (40 hoursper week), SHIFT: Monday - Friday, Days.

POSITIONSUMMARY: (includes, but is not limited to):

Provides professionalleadership and specialized care to the Robotic patient population. The goal isto optimize patient outcomes.

Assists with assessing,planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating theeffectiveness of day-to-day operations in accordance with facility policies,philosophy objectives and standards.

Establish and monitorstandards of nursing care by working with staff, managers, committees, and taskforces.

Identifies problem areasand recommends solutions.

Initiates, implements, andevaluates policies and procedures related to patient care.

Provides comprehensiveeducation in compliance with Standards of Care and Standards of Practice andcoordinates the development, revision, and implementation of patient educationprograms, materials, and resources in area.

Evaluates quality ofnursing care by making rounds, participating in studies and research,conducting interviews, collecting, analyzing, and trending quality indicatordata, and direct observation of nursing care.

Identifies problem areas,provides staff coaching, and makes recommendations for other solutions. Assistswith skills labs.

Studies change in andseeks additional knowledge on unusual problems and conditions, new treatments,and medications.

Demonstrates qualitynursing care, problem-solving skills, effective uses of resources,collaboration with other health care professionals, and professional standards.

Plans and implementsinterdepartmental and interagency cooperation to provide for continuity ofpatient care.



Minimum: Current CA Registered Nurse License orCurrent CA Physician Assistant Certification, American Heart Association BasicLife Support (BLS)



Minimum: Operating Room experience (3 yrs. +), MISexperience

Preferred: Robotic Surgeryexperience


Minimum: Bachelors Degree or BSN

Preferred: Masters Degree or MSN


Minimum: Knowledge of surgicalterminology, equipment, materials, and policies/procedures (sterile protocol/ORattire), and the fundamental methods relating to surgery, Demonstrates basicknowledge of data collection, research protocols, Excel etc. , Knowledge ofsurgical procedures: Urology, Gynecology, Cardiac/Thoracic Surgery, GeneralSurgery. Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills

Skills in physical assessment,lab data interpretation, technological skills and nursing theory and practiceare required. Teaching experience in patient/family and staff educationrequired.

Preferred: Marketing skills
