The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Health Network seeks a pathologist to provide anatomic and clinical pathology services at regional hospitals in northern New York. 

Requirements

This part-time or full-time position will be based at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, NY, and the successful applicant will work as part of a team of board-certified pathologists providing state-of-the-art patient care in regional hospitals, including medical directorship services.
This position requires strong anatomic pathology expertise and clinical laboratory management experience, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous work experience as a pathologist in community practice is highly desirable. Applicants must be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and eligible for medical licensure in New York. Fellowship training in surgical pathology and/or in a subspecialty with Board certification is desirable, as is possession of a New York State Certificate of Qualification. Opportunities to participate in health services research projects that address the role of pathologists in promoting improved patient care and outcomes may be possible for interested applicants.
Plattsburgh is located on the shores of Lake Champlain, near the Adirondack Mountains, the Olympic-Lake Placid region, Montreal, and Burlington, Vermont.
