SUNY Cortland Kinesiology Department invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin 9-1-2019.

Successful candidates are expected to have a commitment to inclusive excellence, equity, inclusion, diversity and social justice; a passion for exercise and sport with well-developed understanding of the complexities of the clinical fields; a desire to contribute to a culture of inclusivity and diversity through teaching, scholarship or service; ability to provide leadership in teaching research or service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment; a desire to work with students from diverse backgrounds; commitment to improving access to higher education for all students regardless of background, and; commitment to educating students to become global citizens
An earned doctorate in Kinesiology, or closely-related field is required. Candidates who are ABD may be considered. Preference may be given for demonstrated research experience and evidence of University-level teaching ability to successfully deliver undergraduate and/or graduate coursework with a specialization in strength and conditioning; practical experiences and research productivity in strength and conditioning or exercise science and/or; certifications (ACSM, NSCA, BOC in Athletic Training).
