The primary purpose of this role, within the Penn Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center, is to provide care coordination, patient education, phone triage, symptom management, complex infusion/medication management, and result review of multiple sclerosis patients. This nurse will need a high level of triage skill to be successful in this busy Multiple Sclerosis division. The Penn MS Center is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, administrative staff, specialty pharmacy, and research coordinators.The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague is an RN that practices as a full partner on the health care team and consistentlydemonstrates safe practice within the organizational professional practice model.The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague possesses the knowledge, skills and the attitude to effectively meet standards for competentprofessional nursing practice as specified in the Ambulatory Nurse II position description addendum. The Ambulatory Nurse IIColleague exhibits UPHS organizational behavioral competencies which reflect its mission and are embedded in the professionalpractice competency domains.The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process andaccepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly.The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague demonstrates within the competency domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, EvidenceBased Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics,and Teamwork.The Ambulatory Nurse II Colleague works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate the coordination ofcare across the continuum. The nurse focuses on expanding the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized carebased on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age appropriate considerations of assigned patients.

Required:\n- BSN from an accredited school\nof nursing And More than 15 months relevant\nprofessional nursing experience.\n- State of PA RN License.\n- BLS/ACLS/PALS per specialty
