The Department of Ob/Gyn specializing in Oncology is looking for an LPN to join their team.The candidate for this position will be responsible for assisting with the provision of direct care to women experiencing complex gynecological conditions including Gynecology and chemotherapy.The practice specializes in surgical and medical management of gynecological cancers.The incumbent will be responsible for pre and intra-visit patient assessment, reconciliation and visit rooming. Incumbent will also be responsible for providing injections, setting up and assisting with procedures and providing support for office emergencies. In addition to direct patient care, incumbent assumes accountability for training /competency assessments of support staff related to supply ordering/oversight, Low and High Level disinfection and ensuring the practice is maintained in compliance with regulatory body requirements. Incumbent is also responsible for ensuring the proper collection, tracking and reconciliation of specimens.This position is the only LPN position within the practice and is supported by 4 on site RNs and 3 APPs in addition to the faculty comprising the Gynecology Division.Position is currently Monday Friday; 8-9-hour work days are required; pending operational demand. Should nine hour days occur, time is given back within the same work week.Based on operational demands, evening or Saturday hours could occur in the future.Incumbent must be able to triage patients, answer patient questions regarding care in either Ob or Gyn and direct patient accordingly. Must be able to make independent decisions within established guidelines. The incumbent must have the ability to interact with the public in a sensitive and professional manner, work independently as well as part of a team, and handle a variety of patient situations readily. Cares for patients in adolescence and adulthood. Demonstrates competence in the assessment, treatment and care of the patients served. Continuous attention to detail required. Must be able to express thoughts clearly. Must have good command of the English Language. Ability to maintain professional attitude at all times. Must consistently adhere to departmental standards for professional office environment.

High School graduate or equivalent required. \n\nLPGN graduate; two years nursing experience in obstetrics preferred.\n\nPA State LPN license required. \n\nCurrent CPR certification
