The Manager of Clinical Operations is responsible for the assigned Transplant Program's day to day clinical operations throughout the transplant phases of care from pre-transplant phase (referral, evaluation, and waitlist) to the transplant event phase and through the post transplant (follow-up for life of the transplanted organ) phase of care. These phases span the outpatient and the inpatient care continuum. The Manager of Clinical Operations will provide program oversight in conjunction with Program Director, Transplant Institute Administrative Director, Surgical Director, and Medical Director to ensure the delivery of safe, quality patient care in alignment with applicable state and federal regulatory requirements (such as CMS, OPTN/UNOS and TJC). The Manager of Clinical Operations is responsible for delivering an exceptional patient experience combined with optimal clinical outcomes by leading the programs clinical staff through change and process improvement. Accountabilities¢\tOversee daily clinical operations for the program to ensure that patients receive safe, quality care in an efficient and customer-centric manner that is in alignment with established policies, procedures, protocols, workflows and regulatory requirements. ¢\tMonitors the patient experience and clinical outcomes and partners with the clinical team on process improvement initiatives to ensure optimal quality. ¢\tEnsure that the necessary operational resources such as clinic space, equipment, and staff are in place to deliver safe, effective and efficient care for transplant patients. ¢\tSolicits useful input from the clinical team and administration in developing systems that are effective, improve the clinical care, and improve the patient experience. ¢\tLead in a motivational manner such that there is high employee engagement across a high functioning team. Provide day to day management of program personnel including performance reviews.¢\tPartners with the program Director to manage the operating budget for the program, including payroll, completion of Medicare time studies, supply and equipment needs. Ensure fiscal soundness of the program through collaborative management of fiscal operations, ( budget, Medicare Cost Reporting, and managed care contract terms) and participating in business development and program growth.¢\tEnsure adequate and accurate electronic medical record documentation through adherence to established workflows on a daily basis.¢\tManage patient flow through the transplant process, patient satisfaction and concerns, electronic and medical record documentation processes.¢\tPartners with Transplant QAPI team on Transplant QAPI program efforts such as identifying objective measures to evaluate program performance and supporting performance improvement projects aimed at maintaining patient outcomes that meet or exceed expectations.¢\tDevelop staffing plans for program clinical and support staff that create efficiencies and support quality patient care outcomes. ¢\tWork closely with members of the PTI leadership team to support clinical, quality, regulatory compliance, information systems, fiscal, and research goals and initiatives of the program(s) and the institute. ¢\tPerforms duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures¢\tOther duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Master's Degree\tHealthcare Administration, policy, Business, Nursing or related field\tAnd\t\t2-5 years of relevant work experience including at least 2+ years in Clinical Management\n\nBachelor's Degree\tNursing\t\t\t\nTransplant experience\tAnd\t2-4 years of Management experience\n \nRegistered Nurse
