The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the outpatient Advance Practice Team in their busy and growing Consultative Cardiology outpatient practice at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. Responsibilities include outpatient care for patients with cardiac diagnoses like CAD, atrial fibrillation, valvular disease, heart failure, and structural heart disease. This will be achieved through office visits, review of testing, phone triage, and ongoing patient follow-up. There will be a combination of independent practice as well as collaborative clinics with physician partners. This position requires a high level of independence but is well supported with a collaborative and multi-disciplinary practice model. The high acuity clinical practice setting is dynamic, fast-paced, and high pressure. Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a strong medical/pharmacology/nursing knowledge are essential. In this role there will also be a tremendous professional growth potential and the opportunity to participate in Penn Medicines tripartite mission of clinical care, research, and education. Members of the team participate in a full range of quality initiatives, are encouraged to become active members of professional societies like the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA).

Licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Regulations \n\nor \n\nLicensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine Regulations.\n\nPrior to employment, the CRNP/PA must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.\n\nCertification as a CRNP or PA-C required at time of employment.\n\nPA and/or NJ RN licensure (RN) RN\n\nPA and/or NJ CRNP licensure \n\nPA and/or NJ Prescriptive Authority\n\nNational Board Certification\n\nBLS/CPR, as a healthcare provider as per the American Heart Association (For providers in the ambulatory setting)\n\nACLS (For providers in the acute care setting)\n\nNew Grad and Experienced candidates welcome to apply
